13 (who?)
Heart Geared Up by KubusRubus Heart Geared Up by KubusRubus
I think I'm done with this pendant, there will be a hidden bail on the back.

The 3 (there are actually more but you can't see them) gears on the left all move together.

Nickel sheet, gears and such, sterling setting and 5mm almandine garnet.

It is 1 1/4 in or 32mm at the widest point.

Yes! Leave it be, and hidden bail sounds like a good plan.

I may have to add some little brass screws though, the bottom and top left gears are unattached. Oh and can you send me your address again please, sorry I'm not good at keeping track of these things :|

I can see how that'd work.

And hey, I keep everything, it's the keeping track that is an issue...

Ooh, really? They move? :iconrlyplz:

I find it interesting how they all appear to connect with each other, if you get what I mean. It's interesting to see most of the parts are gold-y in colour, and yet the one in the top left is different to that, as if suggesting a section of the heart that was... something else, you know? Sort of like one part of the heart a storage for betrayal or vengeance or something that doesn't quite fit with the rest.

Intriguing.

They do move, the 3 (actually 7 but you cants see the ones under) interconnected ones on the left move together, it was part of a self winding mechanism.
They don't move by themselves though if thats what you were thinking, you spin the one near the center and it activates the rest, I have moving gears in many of my pendants :B

I like your interpretation, I definitely did not intend it that may but it makes things more interesting.

Oh, I got that. :D

I still think it's pretty cool, though. :D
